Hi everyone, My name is Gail and I am from Australia. I accidently come across this site whilst surfing the net for info on Prinzmetals Angina. So I thought I would join as I am in need of support and understanding. I have had over 3 years of undiagnosed chest, left arm and jaw pain with breathing difficulties and countless Doctors opinions on what it could be. These opinions have ranged from stomach infections through to Osophogeal spasms etc..I have had tubes down my throat etc etc. They put me on Diltiazem to see what would happen and the pains have significantly reduced and at the moment dont have any pains at all. FINALLY, the Doctors have come to the conclusion with my symptoms and the medication working, that I likely have Coronary Artery Spasms and am now off to the Cardio for diagnostic tests.
Thats all well and good but I am confused and frightened especially of the pain coming back as it is excrutiating. I have passed out only once. I suffer tiredness and even find talking too long wears me out. I feel like I have been left on the shelf and nobody knows what to do with me.
I have family history of Angina and Heart disease (grandfather) and my sister has had Cardiomyopathy. My local Doctor is useless and I am a smoker too. Does anyone understand where I am coming from. I feel grief over this but also feel stupid for feeling it….
